Certquill vs Certifier
Certifier (certifier.io) is a Kraków-based credentialing platform, in market since 2020, with a real drag-and-drop design editor and a free seed round behind it. If you're comparing it to Certquill, here's an honest breakdown — including where Certifier is ahead.

Certifier's own pricing page was inconsistent across live checks during our research: two fetches showed a 250-credential/year free tier, one showed 1,000/year. Certifier's blog and support docs both cite 250. Treat the free-tier number as unresolved and verify directly on certifier.io/pricing before deciding — pricing pages change often.
Where Certquill is honestly weaker
- No drag-and-drop visual editor — Certquill's 8 templates are customisable (colors, fonts, logo, wording) but not freeform-designable like Certifier's canvas editor.
- No Open Badges standard support, which some enterprise credentialing buyers specifically require.
- Certquill is a new product (2026) with no multi-year track record; Certifier has been operating since 2020 with a seed round and reported 2,000+ organisations.
Where Certquill is a better fit
- Price at entry volume. Certquill's free plan covers 20/month indefinitely with no card required; its cheapest paid tier ($12/mo for 300/month) costs meaningfully less than Certifier's $79/mo Professional plan for anyone who doesn't need thousands of certificates a month.
- Pay-as-you-go packs. Certifier prices in annual tier caps only; Certquill's credit packs never expire and suit a single event or one-off large batch without a subscription.
- Reported editor friction. Certifier reviewers on G2 have noted the certificate editor “isn't very smooth” with a delay before changes take effect — a common category complaint we've tried to design around, though we'd encourage you to trial both and judge for yourself.
